The African Studies program, led by a superlative group of academics and practitioners who have devoted their lives to engagement with Africa, provides a dynamic research environment for students. The program has created numerous avenues for students to engage directly with the research agendas of AfSP faculty including fellowships and internships, or on topics of their own choosing through independent research.
Student Opportunities
African Studies students have the opportunity to work under the direct supervision of faculty members on specified research projects or alternatively, to conduct research on a theme of their choosing under the mentorship of our faculty.
